Dan Deacon Goes Surfing with a Large Crowd at the Animoog Playground

Baltimore cult icon gets the Moogfest crowd rowdy on the second day of the festival

Dan Deacon performances are about as difficult to explain as his music. Strange? No doubt. Chaotic? Without question. Unique? You betcha. I mean, how many electronic shows do you attend where the artist performs every song from the floor, crowd surfs, or encourages dance battles? Quite frankly, if it wasn't a little chilly on the day of this particular performance, this spacious outside venue would have resembled a crowded, raucous basement punk show. That's pretty cool.

And props to the guy in the viking beard/hat, which is one of the best minimalist costumes we saw all weekend.

This performance was filmed on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Animoog Playground on the second day of Moogfest by The Tuned Inn.
