Over the course of the Moogfest 2011 weekend, Daytrotter invited a small handful of artists into the beautiful Echo Mountain Recording Studio to spend time with the Daytrotter crew and record some music.  The Tuned Inn was honored to be invited into the studio and we have the opportunity to share a rare, behind-the-scenes look at one of these amazing sessions.

Sound Tribe Sector 9 played to a packed house at the Asheville Civic Center Arena during Moogfest 2011. Earlier in the day, keyboardist David Phipps spoke about the band's favorite venues, writing process, and musical evolution.

The crowd-participating live show, along with the acrobatic performers, was easily one of the day's top highlights. This was the main stage's closing set on the second night of Moogfest.

The Field played a secret show at Harvest Records in Asheville, North Carolina, during Moogfest 2011. The Tuned Inn caught up with Axel Willner and crew for a quick interview after the band's set. The guys discussed their music and the experience of playing such a small, intimate venue.

On the first two days of Moogfest 2011, the Antlers had a couple special performances at the Moog Music Factory in Asheville, North Carolina. The Tuned Inn caught up with the band for an exclusive interview. Check out the Antlers discussing the group's unique sound, equipment, influences and favorite venues.

Neon Indian and Dan Deacon play the small, intimate stage at the Moog Music Factory in Asheville, North Carolina, during Moogfest 2011. Fans "in the know" were treated to an up-close, special jam session by two of the festival's more popular artists performing together for the first time. If you missed it, we posted a longer clip from the show earlier this week.

AraabMuzik plays the Asheville Music Hall at Moogfest 2011 and talks about his music, influences, and future. He played the closing set on the first night (technically, second morning) of Moogfest. There was a long crowd of people stretched down the street, waiting in the cold rain, hoping to catch a few minutes of AraabMuzik and his MPC. Fortunately, we have some of the night documented, so you can enjoy it wherever you want.
